Privacy Policy
Sikhi Daily is built to respect your privacy. There are no accounts, no ads, no third-party trackers, and no analytics. Almost everything you do stays on your device. This policy explains the few cases where information leaves your device, and why.
Information stored only on your device
Your daily streak, saved and liked shabads, chosen “vibes,” reminders, and your Saathi chat history are stored locally on your device (in a shared container used by the app and its widget). This information is never transmitted to us, and we cannot see it.
Asking Saathi (AI companion)
When you send a message to Saathi, the text of your question and the text of the day’s shabad (Gurmukhi, translation, and reference) are sent over a secure connection to our server and then to Anthropic, the provider of the AI model that generates Saathi’s reply.
- We do not attach your name, email, or any account identifier to these messages — the app has no account.
- Our server may log technical information such as your IP address for security and abuse prevention (for example, rate limiting).
- Anthropic processes your message to generate a response under its own terms; by default, Anthropic does not use API inputs to train its models.
Please don’t share sensitive personal information in messages to Saathi.
Voice (Premium)
If you talk to Saathi by voice, the app uses Apple’s built-in speech recognition to turn your speech into text. Depending on your device, Apple may process audio to provide this feature, subject to Apple’s privacy policy. Audio is used only to create your message and is not stored by us.
Purchases and subscriptions
Subscriptions (“Patron”) are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. Apple and RevenueCat receive purchase-related information (such as the product purchased and a receipt), and RevenueCat assigns a random, anonymous identifier to your app installation. We never receive your payment details — those are handled entirely by Apple.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect or have access to: your name, email, or contacts; your location; your photos or health data; advertising identifiers (IDFA); or any third-party advertising or analytics data. Sikhi Daily contains no ads and no third-party trackers.

Children’s privacy
Sikhi Daily is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data retention and your choices
Because your app data lives on your device, you can delete all of it at any time by deleting the app. Server-side logs (such as IP addresses) are kept only as long as needed for security and are then removed. You can cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date.
